VARGA Gallery is seeking contemporary artists for solo exhibitions
in the "Solo Exhibition Space" at VARGA Gallery.
The "FALL Solo Series" program will begin in September of 2007.

All media considered.
Artwork must be properly mounted or framed and ready to hang.
VARGA Gallery reserves the right to not exhibit any artwork that does not meet our display criteria.
Artwork must be for sale. Terms for sale of artwork: 50% to the gallery, 50% to the artist.
Recommended number of works for display 15 - 20 depending on size.
Artwork submitted will be juried by a panel of art professionals & peers.

VARGA Gallery will oversee the marketing of the exhibition through press releases sent to an extensive media list.
The Solo Show will be featured on VARGA Gallery's website with an artist's statement and a slideshow of images.
VARGA Gallery will assist the artist with on-site signage and art installation.

The Artist is responsible for any additional self-promotion which includes an exhibition announcement.
The Artist may host a "Meet the Artist" or artist reception separate from the gallery reception for concurrent exhibitions.
The artist will be responsible for all costs associated with their reception such as food, beverages or other needs.
Available reception times are Thursday through Sunday after 5pm.
During the reception time the VARGA Gallery main exhibition space is available for the artist's use.
The artist may use the space for an Artist's Talk, slide show and/or demonstration.
During the reception the VARGA Gallery will be made available to your visitors at no extra charge.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:

VARGA Gallery FALL SOLO SHOW

1) 10 images representative of work for exhibit:
35mm slides or CD ROM (CD ROM preferred - labeled with name & contact information))
If Slide Submissions: (2" x 2") in paper or plastic mounts (no glass or adhesive labels) in a clear plastic slide page.
Label each slide with artist's name, title, medium, dimensions and date of work. Indicate TOP and assign
slide number to correspond with list of artwork.
If CR ROM: 300 dpi JPEG format files, files names keyed to list of artwork.

2) List of artwork submitted for consideration. Include artist's name, address, telephone and email address.
Identify each submission with corresponding number to image.
After each number list: title of work, medium, dimensions, date and price.

3) Resume and artist statement.

4) Include non-refundable entry-fee of $35, checks made payable to VARGA Gallery.

5) Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) for notification and return of slides or CD ROM.
Images of accepted work will be retained for documentation and marketing purposes.
Every precaution will be taken to assure the return of slides, but VARGA Gallery will not be
responsible for loss or damage to images submitted.

PLEASE NOTE:
VARGA Gallery encourages artists to develop new works of art for this exhibition opportunity.
If selected for a solo show, the images submitted for review do not necessarily have to be among the works exhibited.
