THE VARGA Manifesto
The VARGA Gallery is a forum for unusually creative people falling outside the realms of conventional art.
The gallery takes pride in being outrageous, outsider and outspoken. We exhibit new artists, young artists, old artists, emerging artists.
We also exhibit artists entertaining a
wild streak in an otherwise conventional career. We don't discriminate.
We rarely exhibit landscapes or traditional Hudson Valley Art, and are in no way comparable to
any other gallery
regionally, nationally or internationally. You won't find Santa Fe Art or secondary market art sales.
This is not the place to come if you have a piece of art that's been in your attic and you want to get rid of it.
We love self-taught artists, Japanese buyers,
the nouveau riche and the wonderful people not brainwashed
by the
various & sundry institutions of Art that have "defined" what art is and is not. Ha.
In order to properly disseminate VARGA Art Propaganda we will be premiering the 'zine
"Apocalypse VARGA" which will be available at the gallery for $2 an issue.
